The Punk, Pose, Whack! Program is Whacking Los Angeles’s flagship educational program. Through weekly training, mentorship, history sessions, choreography, performance development, and community dialogue, participants gain both technical and cultural knowledge rooted in the legacy of these dance forms.
The program centers:

BIPOC artists
new dancer to professional movement artists
Intergenerational learning
Community care and accountability
What Participants Receive
Technique Training - Including foundations, musicality, performance training and more
Cultural & Historical Education - Learn the dance history and preservation practices
Mentorship - RECEIVE personal feedback and guidance
Performance Opportunities - Participate in the season culmination (May be live or digital)
