We work to reduce barriers to participation and provide equitable access to WLA programs, education, and opportunities.

Respect & Inclusion
We strive to create spaces free from discrimination, harassment, and exclusion, where people of different identities and backgrounds are respected and valued.

Cultural Responsibility
We honor the Black and LGBTQIA+ roots of Punking and Whacking and remain committed to cultural respect, education, and preservation.

Accountability
We take community concerns seriously and seek to respond thoughtfully, fairly, and within the scope of WLA's role and responsibilities.

Safety

Whacking Los Angeles requires all community members, program participants, and attendees to commit to safety when participating or attending any Whacking Los Angeles events. We will not tolerate any direct or implied threats or violence during our events and will expressly ask the persons to stop or leave if they cannot commit to safety. Furthermore, depending on the severity of the situation, participants may be asked to have time away from Whacking LA events or other measures of accountability to ensure safety.

Share an anonymous InquirY

Our Anonymous Community Inquiry Form provides a way to share information without identifying yourself. Submissions may help us address concerns, identify patterns, and improve our organizational practices. Please note that anonymous submissions cannot receive individual follow-up. WLA will review submissions based on the information provided and determine whether further organizational action is appropriate.

Our Role

WLA can address matters related to our programs, events, staff, volunteers, and organizational practices. Some matters may fall outside of WLA's authority or require support from an appropriate professional or governing body.

Our responsibility is to understand the scope of our role, respond appropriately, and continue working toward a safer and more accountable community.
